Trudy was born on April 1, 1928, in Rosenberg, South Holland. In 1953 she immigrated to Stettler, Alberta with her husband, Gerrit Klootwyk. In 1958 the growing family of 5 moved to Red Deer and were blessed with 2 more children during their years there.
In 1971 the family moved to Victoria, BC. Trudy was involved in various church activities and part time jobs. She particularly enjoyed working at the MS clinic. She was one of the founding members of "Bibles For Missions Thrift Store".
In 1996, after all 5 children had moved away from the Island, Trudy and Gerrit then moved to Abbotsford to be closer to children and grandchildren. Trudy again volunteered her time at Bibles for Missions Thrift Store and at her local church.
Trudy leaves behind her husband of 71 years, 5 children, 19 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
