September 21, 1956 - June 2, 2024
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Jacqueline (Jackie) Dawn Kaltenbach in St. Paul's Hospital at the age of 67 after a long-fought battle with Crohn's Disease.
Jackie will be lovingly remembered by Greg her husband of nearly 49 years, daughter Nicole (Dan), sisters Sherrie (John), Michele (Marty), brother Wayne (Barb), brother-in-law Don (Lynn), sister-in-law Karen (Rob) along with her nieces and nephews.
Jackie was born in London, England on September 21, 1956 and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Despite a decades long battle with Crohn's Disease, she always kept her sense of humour and wouldn't let it define her. She had a heart for others, connecting and supporting those going through similar health struggles, even when in hospital herself. She also had a gift of making the small occasions extra special for those around her.
Jackie loved visiting different gardens and spending time in her own backyard. She especially loved the Fall and the stunning autumn colours. She passed on June 2nd, 2024, the day of the Gutsy Walk for Crohn's and Colitis Canada as the gutsiest person we knew.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the nurses and doctors that were integral to her care throughout the years.
