John passed away on November 5 at Holmberg House in Abbotsford. He was born in Oshawa, Ontario. He came to BC at the age of 20, and completed culinary arts school at Vancouver City College. This led to cooking for loggers and miners in western provinces and Ontario. John's greatest joy was cooking for family and friends.
John leaves his wife Linda of 54 years, children Travis and Christina, adopted son Gord, grandchildren Courtney, Max, Katie, and Gavin, sisters Margaret and Kim (Al), brother James (Buelah), cousins Jim Buck (Judith), Jane Flood, Robert (Sylvia).
John loved to travel on long road trips with his wife and close friends, exploring culture and history. He loved to play pool and the stock market.
