The Abbotsford Canucks 2023-24 regular season schedule has been released and fans can expect a steady diet of Pacific Division foes.

Abbotsford will battle divisional rivals in 64 of the 72 regular season games and will only play the Manitoba Moose and Laval Rocket outside of the Pacific.

The Canucks open the season on the road in Quebec for games against the Rocket on Oct. 13 and 14. The club then hosts the Calgary Wranglers for the home opener on Friday, Oct. 20. The two teams meet again on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Abbotsford and Calgary met 12 times during the regular season in 2022-23, with the Wranglers winning eight of those games. The two teams play each other 12 times again in 2023-24.

The clubs then met in the divisional semifinals, with Calgary winning the best-of-five series 3-1. The Wranglers closed out that series with a 3-2 win in Abbotsford on May 6.

The Canucks will also play eight games against the Bakersfield Condors, Colorado Eagles, Henderson Silver Knights, Ontario Reign and the Coachella Valley Firebirds. Abbotsford will visit Coachella Valley for the first time on Oct. 31. The two teams played in Seattle in 2022-23 because the Firebirds arena was not ready at the time of those games.

Abbotsford will also play four games against the San Diego Gulls, San Jose Barracuda and Tucson Roadrunners. The 64 games against divisional rivals is up from 58 in 2022-23.

The Canucks and the Toronto Marlies, who met four times in 2022-23, will not play each other this season.

Abbotsford has two five-game road trips – one at the end of the 2023 calendar year and one in March. The longest home stand is six games in January.

The Canucks will host at least one home game on every day of the week this season with 12 Saturday games leading the way. Other game days include: Friday (seven), Wednesday (six) Tuesday (five), Sunday (three), Thursday (two) and Monday (one).

The three Sunday games will have a 4 p.m. start time, while the Monday game is on BC Family Day (Feb. 19) and begins at 2 p.m.

There are six days where the Abbotsford Canucks and Vancouver Canucks both host home games – Dec. 9, Jan. 20, Feb. 17., Feb. 27, March 13 and March 16.

The regular season wraps up on April 20 vs. the Wranglers. For more information, visit abbotsford.canucks.com.
