The UFV Cascades men's volleyball team has signed libero Gabriel Kozlow.

The University of the Fraser Valley men's volleyball program has inked libero Gabriel Kozlow for the 2024-25 season.

The team announced the signing on the Cascades website on June 21.

Kozlow, a 6-0 libero from Sherwood Park, Alta, helped capture a national 18U silver medal playing for the NOOKS volleyball club this past May.

After being on the other side from Gabriel during club season, I was very impressed by his compete level and his technical ability," stated UFV men's volleyball head coach Nathan Bennett. "I believe Gabriel will be an excellent libero in Canada West, and an amazing Cascade. We're looking forward to having him on the team."

Kozlow joins the Cascades after a youth volleyball career that saw him earn MVP for Salisbury Composite Volleyball, and he also spent time with team Alberta.

"I am excited to play for such an experienced coaching staff and strong group of players," Kozlow said. "Cascade men's volleyball making the playoffs and nationals is a huge goal of mine that I hope to accomplish, and I want to push myself to be a top libero in the country for this team."

He will be studying kinesiology at the school. For more on the team, visit gocascades.ca.
